Enrollment in the Sport Law Concentration has more than tripled since 2023, reflecting growing student demand for its innovative, practice-oriented approach to sport law. In 2025, students and faculty established the Rice Sport Law Society to extend learning beyond the classroom through professional development, networking, scholarly engagement, and national competition.
The Society connects students with attorneys, player agents, league executives, alumni, and other industry leaders while supporting participation in premier sports law conferences and national competitions. Through these experiences, students build professional networks, engage with emerging issues in sport law, and gain exposure to the leaders shaping the future of the industry.
