Right after finishing his freshman year at Rice University, Justin Wolin ’15 will begin working at an internship with the Washington Redskins. He will work in the Redskins’ marketing department over the summer and will be involved in a little bit of everything - from general marketing to online monitoring and website duties to promotional logistics.
“I was extremely excited to get this job and to be able to work for the Redskins,” Wolin said. “It should be an engaging and gratifying experience. I am truly thrilled.”
Wolin is just a freshman but he’s been very involved with the Sport Management program thus far. He has been turning heads since the first day he stepped into the classroom. Wolin has worked very hard within the major and has seized some great opportunities because of it.
“He’s a great student and is extremely accountable,” Professor Tom Stallings said. “He’s a real go-getter and an impressive addition to the program, especially as a freshman.”
Wolin is currently working for the Houston Rockets as a Strategy Intern and has worked as a Rice Marketing intern in the athletics office earlier in the year. Last year, he worked at Real Maryland FC close to his home in Rockville, Maryland, while finishing near the top of his class at Richard Montgomery High School.
William Beasley, a sophomore from Rockwall, Texas, is majoring in Sport Management.
