Senior Sport Management major Jeremy Reiskind ‘17 has solidified his plans following graduation. He has been accepted to attend Ohio University next Fall where he will pursue their Sports Administration dual-degree program. Ohio’s program is ranked #1 in the world by Sports Business International.
Reiskind decided to attend Ohio University due to their outstanding alumni network, their well-known and respected brand, and his ability to earn a Master’s of Business Administration as well as a Master’s of Sports Administration.
During his time at Rice, Reiskind exceled inside and outside the classroom. He obtained internships with the Rice Sport Information Department, Yahoo! Sports, Rice Rivals, and the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee. He also served as a media assistant at the NCAA Houston Regional in 2015 and with the Final Four in 2016.
Reiskind attributes much of his success at Rice to the Rice Sport Management department.
“I would not be in the position I am today without the Rice Sport Management department,” said Reiskind. “I came in as a freshman unsure of where exactly I wanted to end up after Rice, and now I have a clear path due to the experiences and opportunities the department has given me. I will always be grateful to Rice Sport Management for jump starting what is hopefully a successful career.”
Overall, Reiskind is very excited about his upcoming future at Ohio University and hopes to pursue a career as a college athletic director where he plans to put his vast knowledge of sports and business to use.
