The first annual Howl-O-Ween Dogathon raised over $35,000 on October 31 for Rice Women's Athletics, in attempts to help the Women's Athletic Advisory Board increase funding for women's athletics at Rice University.
The dogathon was organized and presented by members of Rice University’s Sport Management Program, in Professor Jason Sosa’s Event and Facilities Management class (SMGT 366). The students organized, developed, and ran the event from scratch, with very little outside help.
