On Wednesday, September 1 Scott Schwinger, President and CEO of the McNair Group and as Chief Financial Officer for the Texans spoke to the SMGT 260 classes in the Trauber Suite of Tudor Field House. Schwinger oversees a staff of more than 30 and is responsible for the financial management, risk management, management information systems and all debt and equity financings of the Texans and the other McNair Group companies.
Since the award of the team in 1999, Schwinger has successfully coordinated and structured debt financings totaling $730 million, one of the largest and most successful series of financings to date for a professional sports team. Schwinger received a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from Vanderbilt University and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
