Members of the Rice University Sport Business Alliance (RUSBA) partnered with the Houston Dynamo on Saturday March 6th during the Young Presidents Organization’s Day with the Dynamo. Over 120 YPO members and their families enjoyed a day of soccer themed activities run by the Dynamo players, cheerleaders, Street Team, and the members of RUSBA.
The set up of the day, which was organized by Client Services Coodinator for the Houston Dynamo, Aditya Saini, and Rice Sport Management's RUSBA group gave the members of YPO the opportunity to spend a day as a soccer player. The day started with YPO members signing a contract with President of the Dynamo, Oliver Luck, and continued with soccer skills challenges with current Dynamo players. Based on their performance in the drills, YPO members were given the ultimate opportunity to play in the Championship game. Champions received authentic Houston Dynamo jerseys and photos with the MLS Cup trophy.
The event was extremely successful, with RUSBA receiving praise for their assistance throughout the day. The Rice University Sport Business Alliance looks forward to working with they Dynamo and other teams, on more successful events in the future.
