Amy Czyz '15 & Travor Caswell '15 are the 2015 winners of the TAHPERD "Outstanding Student of the Year Award," which is presented annually to students who have dedicated themselves to developing healthy habits of physical activity, have demonstrated excellence in the classroom, and served both the community and their campus through their hours of commitment.
During her academic career, Czyz either interned or worked for the San Jose Earthquakes, Bay Area Breeze, and Houston Dash. Caswell interned or worked with the Houston Dynamo, SportsRadio 610, Houston Texans and Rice Athletics.
Dr. Jimmy Disch, Associate Professor of Sport Management, presented the awards to Czyz and Caswell at the May 6 Rice baseball game. Disch is the current Vice President of the College Division of TAHPERD.
