I've read that the Astros and Rockets now co-own a TV network. How will that change things? (Jason from Katy, Texas on April 30, 2012)

Answer

Clark Haptonstall Ph.D. : If you are an Astros and Rockets fan, this should change things for the better. The professional teams in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles have had their own networks for years now and they've been able to generate additional revenue that way. Additional revenue often means better players are on the roster. The Astros and Rockets should be able to do the same thing. Plus, the network will have lots of airtime to fill so look for more Astros-specific and Rockets-specific programming than ever before.
